Boom and scissor lift training and telehandler training are located in Dallas, on-site training will be extra.
There are many new standards coming and one of many is supervisor training. Once in place, all supervisors that have personnel who operate lifts of any kind will need to be trained. Stay ahead of the standards and train your supervisors now.
Less than 1 percent of accidents involving a lift are due to mechanical failure. That means over 99% are operator failure and are 100% avoidable. When there is an injury involving a lift, several people get involved. This is including, but not limited to, OSHA and a lawyer. There will be many questions asked.
Here are a few of them:
- Is the operator authorized to use the equipment?
- Has the operator been trained?
- Was there a pre-operational check preformed?
Those three questions will set the tone of the investigation, and if the answer was yes then there might have never been an injury. The cost of training is nowhere near the cost of an injury, or worse, a death.
